DAGSPROGRAM
Dag 1 - Ankomst till Sverige & resa till Smögen
Välkommen till Sverige! Vid ankomst till Göteborg Landvetter Airport hämtar du ut din hyrbil och påbörjar din resa genom vackra Bohuslän – ett landskap präglat av hav, granit och historia. Med hjälp av vårt genomtänkta Fly & Drive-upplägg kör du norrut mot Smögen. Vid ankomst checkar du in på ditt hotell och får tid att landa i den charmiga skärgårdsmiljön. På kvällen samlas vi för en introduktion till släktforskning, där vi går igenom hur man söker sina rötter i Sverige och presenterar vad vi redan har hittat om just din släkt. Using our carefully designed Fly & Drive itinerary, you travel north to the charmiing fishing village of Smögen. After arrival, you check in to your hotel and have time to settle in and explore the surroundings.
In the evening, you meet for an introduction to Swedish genealogy. We explain how family research works in Sweden and present what we have already discovered about your ancestors. It is a meaningful and personal start to your journey and to find your family roots.

Dag 2 - Smögen, kajakpaddling & lokal historia
Life in the archipelago. Let’s wake up to the sound of seabirds and the salty air of the west coast. On the dock, kayaks are ready for you, and together with an experienced guide you paddle out into the Smögen archipelago.
Explore the rugged coastline, sheltered coves, and small islands at a relaxed pace. You may spot seals resting on the rocks or discover a quiet sandy beach perfect for a swim.
In the afternoon, enjoy a walk along Smögen’s iconic wooden boathouses, followed by a visit to the local Smögen Museum, where the area’s fishing heritage and coastal life are brought to life.
Avsluta dagen med att se ut över kusten och se solnedgången sänka sig i havet.

Dag 3 - Marstrand & Carlstens fästning
History and Dramatic Stories is on the agenda. Today you drive south to the picturesque island town of Marstrand, one of Sweden’s most famous summer resorts with a rich maritime past.
Visit the impressive Carlsten Fortress with a guide and learn about its dramatic history, the prisoners and the legendary master thief Lasse-Maja, one of Sweden’s most famous historical figures.
På eftermiddagen beger du dig ut på en fiskebåt och får uppleva traditionellt krabbfiske - en autentisk bohusländsk aktivitet.
Sent på eftermiddagen återvänder du med bil till Smögen och får ytterligare en skön och lugn kväll vid havet.

Dag 4 - Lysekil, sälsafari & Havets Hus
Havets rike Ytterligare en dag längs Bohusläns spektakulära kust. Kör till Lysekil för förmiddagens höjdpunkt – sälsafari i ytterskärgården. Med lite tur ser ni sälarna vila på klipporna eller leka i vattnet.
Efteråt finns möjlighet att besöka Havets Hus, ett uppskattat akvarium med fokus på Västerhavets marina liv.
Later, return to Smögen for your final evening tracing your family’s past. If you have not yet tried it, perhaps try a refreshing swim in the sea, fresh seafood, or a peaceful coastal sunset.
Hopefully, you have felt the presence of your family roots during the day.

Dag 5 - Göteborg & Avresa
I emigranternas fotspår
Efter utcheckning lämnar ni Smögen och kör söderut mot Göteborg. Här väntar en heldag i staden innan hyrbilen återlämnas och hemresan påbörjas.
